About us
The Venue was born out of our tried-and-true concept, Cafe Venue, which we have owned and operated since 1995 in Downtown San Francisco. We have taken our morning and afternoon menu and expanded into dinner and drinks to round out our offering to our new neighbors in Mission Bay! We are thrilled to be exploring a new neighborhood and becoming a part of the bright, busy and healthy community that currently walks the sidewalks. We will offer fresh, made to order breakfast items from 8am-11am, pull espresso and brew coffee all day alongside our main menu of freshly tossed salads, toasted to order sandwiches, pizza, pasta and so much more before settling into a nice beer, wine or cocktail and then heading home for the evening. We can't wait to meet you and hope to become your new place!
THE RESTAURANT
The Venue will be the latest addition to the family of brands managed by father-daughter duo, Randy and Lauren. Randy has been creating concepts of restaurants and running them since opening his first venture in 1987. Lauren joined the team in 2017 and together they manage 3 existing concepts in San Francisco's Financial District; Cafe Venue, Local Roots and Cenote. It was time to branch out and explore new neighborhoods in the city so when the opportunity presented itself to move into an existing restaurant space in Mission Bay, Randy and Lauren couldn't pass it up. We cannot wait to immerse ourselves into this neighborhood and call a new place, home.

Cenote
Cenote was inspired by positive vibes and happy memories that Father - Daughter Duo, Randy, and Lauren, are reminded of when they think of Mexico. Initially, a place that was a favorite family vacation spot soon turned into concept inspiration for the two. As their Mexican vacations served as a time to be present with the family, take a break from the busyness of life, and provide some of the most wonderful views, nature, food, and drinks; they hope to bring those aspects into the heart of the Financial District for all to enjoy.
Local Roots
We serve our community by fueling our customers every day with fresh food to fit their lifestyle. Our chef crafted creations are dietitian approved and feature locally sourced ingredients. Our fresh produce and high quality, ethically raised proteins are delivered daily from farms in Petaluma and and Salinas Valley. We source our baked goods from Panorama Bakery, right here in SF and brew coffee beans that are roasted right across the bay by ZOLO in Berkeley. We've taken the "Shop Local, Eat Local" concept and turned it into our mission, because we care about our customers, our city, our neighbors and we want them all to thrive.
